This will be my P90X blog! I’m excited to start it and the whole family is waiting for it to arrive - any day now!
The biggest difference in my journey on the P90X from most others doing this program is that I will be doing mine “Veggie Style” - using mostly fresh and whole foods to meet all my nutrition needs.
I am convinced that whole uncooked fruits and vegetables far surpass cooked food nutritionally and the body uses protein from plant foods far more adequately than from cooked food.
On a fresh plant food diet, the body will create the necessary protein more efficiently than on cooked animal foods as plant foods provide the necessary amino acids first hand. Cooked animal foods contain a huge amount of denatured protein - from my own research, a body makes protein from amino acids, and not second hand protein. So if the animals we eat get their protein from plants, I will too!
